Our story

Kendira in Berber ⴽⴻⵏⴷⵉⵔⴰ and in Arabic كنديرة is the name of a small village in northern Algeria, where our founder’s parents were born. More than a place, it is a memory of family tables, shared dishes, and the generosity that defines Maghreb hospitality.

Kendira is an invitation to travel through the delicate, vibrant flavours of North Africa. We bring the culinary heritage of this region to life through recipes that feel both authentic and contemporary: bold aromas, colourful ingredients, and comforting textures, crafted with consistency, care, and high standards.

Our Menu

Our menu draws inspiration from the rich culinary traditions of Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. A cuisine celebrated for its balance, warmth, and generosity.

We are committed to sharing this gourmet heritage with as many people as possible. From iconic dishes like couscous and tagine to refined pastries, every plate is crafted to tell a story — one of tradition, warmth, and unforgettable aromas — and to revive, time and time again, the pure pleasure of these cuisines.

The first time I visited this small village perched at the top of a mountain — a several-hour drive by car — I was 17 years old. I discovered an incredibly lush nature, astonished by the richness of its colours and flavours. Families lived in small traditional Kabyle houses called Axxam, it felt like stepping back 50 years in time. When I founded Kendira,I wanted my daughters to stay connected to their roots — and perhaps, one day, bring them to that beautiful place
